Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc finished second in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, falling short to Max Verstappen.
Throughout the race, Leclerc and both Red Bull drivers were contenders for a victory, before Leclerc pulled of a last-lap move on Perez, putting him at second-place.
A safety car intervened at Lap 27 due to contact between Verstappen and Russell, leaving Leclerc at a disadvantage having already pitted for new tyres.
He said: “I didn’t leave anything on the table.
“I maximised everything- we got unlucky with the safety car, but it is the worst moment for the tyres because you start to warm them up, and then you cool them down, and it is very difficult to restart the tyres and re-warm them.
“We struggled for the second half of the race, which is a shame.
“But, on the other hand, as much as I am very tough on myself when I make a mistake, I recognise when I do a good job for myself and this was a really, really good race and I’m really happy.
